Daniel McGinnis
Daniel and his wife Jeannie started Antioch in their living room after moving to Sheffield in June of 2005. Antioch then had its first public service that October. Daniel is passionate about raising up wholehearted disciples of Jesus, who birth communities of renewal and transformation. His vision is to help the local church advance God’s Kingdom and have an impact locally, nationally, and throughout the world.
Daniel is the visionary leader of Antioch and works full-time for the church. He also has completed his MA and PhD in Biblical Studies at Sheffield University, where he focused on urban ministry and church-planting in the book of Acts. Daniel dreams about the book of Acts coming alive today, and about church-planting movements that transform nations.
In his free time, Daniel loves to hike and climb in the Peak District, and take his children Madeline and Aiden on ‘big adventures’. He also loves to play the guitar, eat tasty foods (esp. Mexican!), and read academic books that make him think deeply.
Daniel’s life-verse is Ps. 86.11:
‘Teach me Your way, Lord, that I may walk in Your truth; give me an undivided heart…’
