Janette Stanberry

Janette is passionate about seeing children empowered and released into all that God has called them to, to see parents equipped to raise up healthy and whole children in the love of the Lord, and to see the nations reached with the love of Christ!  She believes that just because children are in small bodies, doesn’t mean the Holy Spirit inside them is small, and there is so much to be learned when we interact with people of different ages, cultures, and backgrounds.

Because she grew up in a lovely mountain village in Colorado, Janette slightly reluctantly moved to Fort Worth, Texas to attend Texas Christian University where she studied speech and language therapy and Spanish.  After graduating with a Master’s in bilingual speech therapy, Janette worked for two years in a bilingual school in North Fort Worth during which she attended Christ Fellowship Training School and the draw of hungry hearts and God’s heart led her to bring the hope of Christ to Sheffield.

Janette loves to laugh, occasionally exploding with the joy of a new idea in what has been termed by Stephen Donnelly as “joy tourettes.”  She also enjoys people of all ages, baking, being outdoors, and seeing others grow step by step in their faith and love of Jesus.  You may catch her walking in the Peaks, dancing (in the kitchen or elsewhere), drawing with pastels, watching a good film with her excellent housemates, reading a good book, or having a good chat/new adventure.
