Sarah Taylor

Sarah Taylor lived a charmed life in the Home Counties for 18 years before sensing the voice of God calling her North. In 2004 she moved to the delightful town of Widnes, Cheshire to undertake a discipleship gap year prior to University.  It was during this year that she discovered intimacy with God, was awakened to the power and potential of the local Church, received incredible investment and sensed a calling to ministry.

After completing what was one of the most foundational years of her life she moved to the Steel City to do a degree in Sociology.  During her first semester Sarah met the team of Americans planting Antioch Community Church and started attending the Gatherings and the student LifeGroup.  She immediately felt an affinity for the vision and values of Antioch Sheffield and the Antioch family worldwide.  Sarah was an active member of the church all throughout University, leading LifeGroups and volunteering in other areas.

In 2008 upon graduation Sarah sensed the call of God to attend the training school at Antioch for a year and to intern with the student ministry that was emerging.  After completion of the school she heeded the voice of God to leave her part time job and commit full time to advancing the student ministry and to raise support for her salary.  An adventure of faith if ever there is one, she would love to talk to you if you want to know more about this, or be a part of her support team.

Sarah now assists Stephen Donnelly as he leads the student ministry, and they are both passionate about seeing individual students’ lives, and ultimately the multiple University campuses in Sheffield, transformed by the love of God.  Along with the student ministry Sarah works as the primary administrator for the church also heads up The Alpha Course with Todd Roberts.

She is not married to anyone amazingly gorgeous……………..yet!

Sarah loves music but wouldn’t be considered a connoisseur by anyone’s standard. The same can be said for her taste in films. She is somewhat of a poker fiend and loves nothing more than games that go on late into the night.  She can often be found having deep chats over a caramel macchiato at her favourite coffeehouse and calling it work.

And also horses. Minor understatement.
